Serious allegations made by the complainant against a member of the Police Force during the hearing of a case at the Central Magistracy yesterday, led to Mr. R. A. D. Forrest, the Senior Magistrate, before whom the case was heard, making a statement in which he expressed the hope that the Hongkong Police would hold a
public inquiry in order to clear its name of the allegations
made.
