Russian Punches Magistrate's Nose

A Dover magistrate, Mr. William $. Lec. appeared at Canterbury Police Court recently with a swollen nose and told how he had been assaulted by Jacob Panitz, a 38- years-old Russian hotel worker, at Dane-road, Margute, at the Canter- bury Labour Exchange.

Mr. Lee, who is chairman of the Enst Kent Appeals Committee, sald that Panitz came before them and had his appeal dismissed,, the effect being that he would have to go to a public assistance institution.
