MAYFAIR WOMAN DID NOT KNOW HER AGE
A MAYFAIR woman who said that she once worked in a blouse factory, recently brought an action in the King's Bench Division against a West End beauty salon claiming damages for the loss of a £3,500 necklace which, she said, vanished from her handbag.
She was Mrs. Edith Warner, of South-street, Mayfair, and she sued Elizabeth Arden, Ltd., of Old Bond-street, W., banuty specialists, who pleaded that, if Mr. Warner suffered loss, it was contributed to by her own negligence.
