JOHN'S favourite "buddy”
came to tea the other day wearing glasses. He was inclined to swank about them and told us how the doctor tested his eyes on a machine.
What surprised
me was his obvious comfort and his improved looks. Un- til now Tony has always looked rather disagreeable, although I know him to be a good-tempered creature.
The only one of my nephews and nieces who wears glasses is Selina. And she'll be able to discord them In a year or two because her eyes by special ure being strengthened exercises. There was nothing wrong with Selina's eyes except laziness. Specialists are beginning to discover that some chlidren must be taught to sce
and a good many eye troubles occur because eyes are not used.
