An experiment which the famous stratosphere balloonist, Professor Piccard, thinks may revolutionise the future of air transport, is being carried out by the Air Force authorities at the military airfield of Evere, near Brussels.
Two well-known flier--Lieut. John A. N. Stijns. (who holds the Belgian altitude record with 31,000 feet) and Dr. Abrahams--- are living, in a sealed cell, under pressure corresponding to in altitude of 12,000 feet.
