When I have an autumn tea party I generally see to it that there is a walnut cake on the table. This is how I make it.
Ingredients: Goz, bülter, Boz. caster sugar. lib. self-raising four, a pinch of salt. 4oz. chopped walnuts (keeping six halves for decoration), 3 eggs.
Cream together the butter and sugar. add the egg yolks, the sleved flour and salt, and the chopped walnuts, Mix well, then stir in the stifly whisked egg whites, nail pour into a greased tin.
