ARSENAL'S IMMEDIATE

PROBLEM.

FIVE PLAYERS TRANSFERRED:

NO NEW STARS

FAULTS REMAIN UNREMEDIED

(By Charles Bachan)

As F.A. Cup-winners and holders of a prominent position in the First Division, Arsenal have reason to be satisfied with their performance last season. Even so, I do not fancy that the hende of the management will be lying casily on their pillows. There were grave faults in the side throughout a trying season. These have not been remedied. In fact, Ärsenal will begin the coming season with weakened resources because of the transfer of players. I understand the officials are alive to this fact, and I have no doubt that before the season is far advanced Arsenal will add to their playing strength..
