SCOTS WIN GOLF ‘NATIONAL'

England's amateur golf team, after having shown the best form during the first two days of the four-handed International tournament at Prest wick, falled, as they usually do, against Scotland, who thus retain the championship once agafo.

The Scots finished with three vic- tories and no defeats, against Eng- land's two wine and one loss, but England won 32 individual games 13, while Scotland won only 251⁄2 to 10%. Ireland finished second with one win, Wales losing all their matches.

Scotland owed their victory to their two youngsters, Hector Thomson and Jack McLean, who won both four- somes and singles against their Eng- Hish opponents. Thomson wan under 4's in beating Cyril Tolley, and | McLean, against Harry Bentley, did the first six holes in 4 2 4 4 3 3, going out in 33 and turning 5 up.
