Submarine Rainbow and No. 6 Section The Soccer match between H.M. R.A.0.C. was played off on Monday at St. Joseph's Ground, Happy Valley. and resulted in a win for the Onl nance by the only goal scored.
Play was very even throughout. Both tenas missed chances when near goal-the most notable occasion being when Saunders, the Rainbow centre forward, broke through, got clear of opposition, and then shot outalde the post when only about ten ya
yards out. It was not until the last minutes of the first half when Prince herded the ball wide of the Rainbow keeper, that there was any score.
The second half opened with the Rainbow pressing strongly and a gon! seemed certain, but they could not shake off the Ordnance defence. Saunders, was unfortunately injured! in a collision in front of gont during one of these early raids and the Rain. bow hd to play for the remainder of the game with only ten men. In spite of this landleap they still made very determined efforts to draw level, but no further score was registered by either side' and a fast, keen and very clona gamo ended in a win for the Ordnance who are now only one event behind in the Rainbow Cup Competition,
