LADIES' TOURNEY IN PROGRESS
BIG ENTHUSIASM
(By "Veritas”). . -
The Club de Recreio, who boast more lady badminton players than the rest of the clubs in the Colony put to- gether have started a ladies league of their own, with no less than 30 players taking part. Already, three matches have been played, and judged by the keeness and excitement dis- played, the object of the com- petition, which is to assist the players towards rapid improve- ment, will be entirely fulfilled. The winning of the league depends on the wreatost aggr won, irrespective of whether the matchen themselves have been won or lost. This stimulates the players to contest overy acé.
