MOST CANDIDATES SEEN OUT FOR SLOW GALLOPS YESTERDAY
SADKO AGAIN IN FINE FORM
After the recent extra meeting of the Hongkong Jockey Club, most ponies were only given slow canters in their trial gallops at Happy Valley yesterday morning, Sadko was the most prominent runner, doing the mile in 2.00.1, and last quarter 31 seconds. After a long absence from the course, the Derby winner of 1034, Hydroplane, made a pleasing return to Happy Valley, when he did the mile in fair time, anishing strongly in 30 secs.
