Forty-five thousand spectators, crowding the Twickenham ground to-day, aaw Cambridge overbelm Oxford by 29 points to 14 in the Annual Rugby match between the two great Universities. At half time the score was Cambridge 6, Oxford 4. The usual animated scones were witnessed
The ground was in good condition, the turf yielding from the effect of the recent rains.

Derby County's Bold Move

Transfer
-Derby County made a bold move in obtaining the transfer of Hugh Gallacher, the Chelsea and Scot- tish international centre forward. Negotiations between the clubs took four days, and it then became a question of whether Gallacher would go to Derby.
A year ago ho had refused to join Everton. The question was put to him and he took several hours to conalder it.
Chelsea were frankly surprised when he aald he was willing to sign for the County. He was married short time ago, and I believe his wife influenced him in his decision. Gallacher was obtained by Chel- new from Newcastle United at a hia cost of £10,000, and this is fourth season with the club. It was understood that Everton offer: £4,000 for his transfer inst season, Derby have paid £3,000.
