The Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China is shortly! putting into circulation a new issue of $100 notes.

The note is of small handy size, the printed portion being much the same size as the present red! $10 note, while there is a large white border. The predominant colour is light green, but the note! is vari-coloured, being printed by the new "Kaleidochrome" protec tive tint printing. In the centre of the note there is a vignette, the effigy of Brittania, and on each side of this the numerals 100 appear in multi-coloured panels.) The space for the watermark, a Roman head, is on the right hand side and it may be observed that the outlines of the watermark are very clear.
