The rain spoilt what would otherwise have been a very pleasant day's racing at Happy Valloy last Saturday afternoon. In contrast to the opening meet- ing for the second half of the racing season, the favourites were more or leas in an obliging mood, and did A Bomewhat much to brighten dreary afternoon.
