The concert was bold under the
distinguished patronage of His Excellency the Governor and Lady Feel, and under the auspices of the "Empire," "Australian,” and “All Nations Music "Links.”
At the conclusion of the concort, Madame Gordon announced that, it response to requesta, it had beer decided to repeat the programme on a work day.
A feature of the programme was the excellent renditions of piano- forte items by Madame Gordon, The majority of these items wors Madsmo Gordon's own composi tions, notably An Australian "National Anthem" and a piano group consisting of "Voice Echoes of the Peak," "Chinese Wedding" and Rickshaw Man.”
Madam Lottle Gordon expressed regret that she had been unable to arrange for an Australian concert to be broadcast.
"I find that Australia la not really getting any fair play In this Colony," she said, "I could not
even got five minutes for broad. casting. I will make an application for a vory big broadcast of Aus- tralia twelve months from now; then I will really be in time. Of course, I know It is not the Post- master-General's fault."
Before leaving, Lady Peel was presented with a beautiful basket of flowers.
