GOVERNOR'S
APPEAL
A strong appeal to the public to support the Hongkong Society for the Protection of Children was voiced by H.E, the Governor who presided at the annual general meeting of the body at the St. John Cathedral Hall yesterday.
The need for an extension of the Society's branches into Kowloon was stressed by Sir Shouson Chow who, in summarising the work of the year, said it was impossible for well-to-do people to imagine the condition of those who supported themselves and their families on $4 a month.
