Washington, Nov. 12.share The Farm Administration has dissolved its Food Industry Ad- visory Board, which comprised an unofficial group representing dia tributors and processors.
• While it is offcially explained 'that the Board had been dissolved by mutual agreement, and no im- portant differences exist, it is ro- ported that some members of the Board do not sympathise with the Administration's delays regarding plans for Codes and Agreements, of which there are over 500 awaiting. action.-Router.
NO CURRENCY DUEL.
President Regards Bonds As Good. Investment.
New York, Nov 11
The United States Treasury is most concerned regarding the further fall in the dollar, accord- Ing to Washington correspondents. On the other hand, President Roosevelt is philosophic and in not alarmed at the daily awings of the market. It is reported that he regards government bonds as a good investment.
Wall Street reports state that, the Reconstruction Finance Cor poration has resumed the selling of dollars in exchange for foreign gold. This is taken to mean that the Corporation desires furthor and immediate depreciation of the dollar.
A currency duel between Great Britain and the United States is not at present imminent, accord- ing to the Washington correspon- dent of the New York Times. Quoting an authoritative source, the correspondent states that Bri tain will remain passive for at least 8 long as the commodity prices are rising and the swinging move- ments of the dollar work against making trade commitments.
Sir economist, The British William Beveridge, has urged a substancial stabilisation of the dollar in relation to gold as s remedy for the economic ills of the United States.
Speaking at the Pilgrim's Din- ner, Sir William recommended the formation of an impartial com- mittee to examine the whole United States banking system in order to make investmonts safer.
He alsa, pronosed the free use of Federal credit to lower the in- tercat on all kinds of debts.- Reuter
