SPORTS MEETING AT THE 1.R.C.
FOR
OR the second successive year Sirdar Rumjahn, the Hongkong tennis champion, won the 100 and 220 yards championships at the Indian Recreation Club sports meeting yesterday.
He was given a magnificent race by T. Hamet in the 100 yards dash,. and the pair dead-heated at the first time of asking. The race was run in the splendid time of 10.1/5 BCCB. Sirdar's
utamina came to his aid in the run, and he won the event with a fair
amount of cano, covering the dis- tance in a fifth of a second over the provious time.
Hamet agair provided chlef op- position in tho 220 yards cham- pionship, but Itumjahn held his awa in a well judged rare.
