The English novelist, Compton MacKenzie was fined in the Old Bailey to-day $100 and also order ed to pay £100 costs on a charge under the Officials Secrets Act. He pleaded guilty.

His book, "Greek Memories," ac- cording to the prosecution divulged information ho had obtained "as Intelligence officer at Gallipoli. The book was withdrawn by the publishers at the request of the Attorney General.—Reuter.
