(Harding, Kirkham)
The Royal Artillery, the "dark horse" of the League, were full value for their vic tory over the Lincolns by the odd goal in five at Sookunpoo on Saturday, and any other result would have been an in- justice to them.
I hold this opinion despite the fact) that they were a goal in arrears at tho interval and that Bryant's first point in reply was from an obvious offside position.
The Gunners may not have been quito so pretty in their work, but they wero magnificent spoilere and adopted go-ahead methods of P- proach work which made them twice as dangerous as the Lincolns before goal.
Tho brilliant leadership of Bryant, the clever play of Seal on the left wing, and the soundness of Allen at right back were the three chief factors in the success of the Artillery.
But the team as a whole played 2 with vim and determination which They were, man to 2. Manchester C. & Spelt success.
