Mrs.
London, July 21, A fine of 450, with £10 108. costs, was imposed on Elvira Barney at the West- minster Police Court to-day, for the unlawful possession of the revolver which figured in the recent murder charge against her. Mrs. Barney, wife of John Barney the singer, now touring America, and daughter of Sir John Mullens, prominent Govern- ment broker, is A prominent London society woman. She was recently acquitted on a charge of having murdered Michael Scott Stephen, son of a Kent magistrate, after a cocktail party at 器 Knightsbridge flat-Reuter.
