The confession was released for publication to-day and it showed that Bardelotto had long been in! the pay of Italian emigree groups abroad and that his journey to the region of the Palazzo Ven.zła, was actuated by orders from an Italian anarchist living in London.

LONDON, JUNE 14. CHAIN OF MURDERS BROUGHT TO LIGHT BY THE DISCOVERY OF THE BODY OF ONE OF THE VICTIMS, ONE OF THE MOST SENSATIONAL MYSTERIES OF RECENT YEARS IS NOW ENGAG- ING THE ATTENTION OF SCOTLAND YARD AND THE KENT POLICE.

:

There were three victims of the crime, all of them women and all of them relatives. They were:-

Mrs. Janie Swift, aged 65, the licensee of Ye Olde Sportsman's Inn, near Whitstable.

Mrs. Jennie Stomp, aged. 35, daughter of Mrs. Swift.

Miss Peggy Stemp, aged thirteen, daughter of Mrs. Stemp. -

All three had been shot dead, but up to the moment no clue has been discovered to indicate under what cir- cumstances the unfortunate women met their deaths. .

Bloodhounds are now scouring the district of Ash ford, Kent, where the bodies were found.

It is a curious feature of the dreadful crime that the bodies were found from twenty to twenty-five miles from Mrs. Swift's home. She had not been reported missing. The news of the sensational triple murder has caused a profound shock through Kent, The tragedy, was
