A vigorous outcry of resent. ment and indignation in Filipino circles has followed a shocking outrage in California, a bomb being thrown into a dormity occupied by Filipino labourers, one of them being killed and two badly injured.
The incident occurred last week
in the Imperial Valley, California, | and the police investigating de- clared that the bomb was thrown from a motor-car which raced past the premises at a high speed, the fact that the bomb passed through the window being more luck than

We have to record with deepest regret, the death of Profes xor C. Y. Wang, of the Hongkong University, who passed away at his. residence this morning at the age of 42 years after a long and pain- ful illness.
The late Dr. Wang was appoint- ed Professor of Pathology at the
Hongkong University immediately after the war and he held that position until his lamented death, which had been feared for some time.
One of an exceedingly able family, Professor C. Y. Wang received his education in Hongkong and graduated with honours at the Hongkong Medical College before proceeding to the University Edinburgh, where he obtained degrees of M.B., Ch.B. with second class honours, and later D.T.M. and H.
