A Chinese, Chu Chik, was charged before Mr. Whyte Smith yesterday, by Detective Sergeant Meadows with having kidnapped a boy of 9 years of age on August 1.
Detective Sergeant Meadows outlining the case said that the complainant lived at 54 Lai Chi Kok Road. On August 1 the boy ran away from home because he had received a chastisement from his mother. He went into the streets and wandered about. After midnight Sergeant Major Wong So received Information that a child had been kidnapped in Tai Nam Street. The Informant conducted
