FARMERS SAVE A
TRAIN.
ATTEMPT TO WRECK EXPRESS FROM NANKING.
Shanghai, July 5. An attempt was made to wreck the night express from Nanking to Shanghai last night. A num- ber of prominent Government officials were on the train at the time when a bomb was placed on the lines. It exploded and wreck- ed several rails. The noise of the explosion awoke farmers near-by who warned the station master at Changchow in time for him to stop the express. The train was delay- ed for five hours. No arrests were made.-Reuter.
