A very enjoyable concert was held at the new Sailors' and Soldiers' Home last evening in aid of the finances of the Institution, and especially of the "Sepoy" Fund for the assistance of the relatives | of those who lost their lives in the recent naval

disaster. The gathering included His Excellency the Officer Administering the 'Gov- ernment and Mrs. Southorn, His Excellency the General Officer Commanding (Major-General San- dilands), Rear-Admiral Hill and other Officers and many local re- sidents.
