Dollar Salaries.
Attention is invited to the state- ment in paragraph 14 of the Re port that, in order to counter- balance the increase in the cost of living, a rise of 20% in dollar salaries is called for. This pro- nouncement further strengthens the contention that the present salaries of the local employees of Government are inadequate.
