Myrna Loy, one of Warner Bros' most talented stars, is here seen
in a typical Oriental study.
A party of Cambridge men, under the leadership of Mr. J, M. Wordie, and with the assistance of the Royal Geographical Society, made the first ascent of Petermann Peak, in Greenland, thought to be the highest mountain in the Arctic. Our picture shows a member of the expedition approaching the pyramid-shaped peak, which from a distance looks like black and white marble. After various adventures and several days climbing, the final assault was made on the summit in

A photo of the Dutch Folly, a small island situated in the Pearl River (Chu Kiang) just off the Canton Bund. In the fore- ground may be seen thousands of sampans lying between the Bund and the Dutch Folly whilst a wooden bamboo bridge connects the island to the Bund. The Canton Municipality is proposing to re- claim that part of the river between the Bund and the Dutch Folly.
