Homos of employees of the Hakodate Hydro-Electric Power Station at Shika o Hokkaido, Japan, were buried in lava during the recent eruption of Mt. Komagataki. Branches wore. stripped from the treas by the lava and the falling stone. Photograph shows some of the houses still burning.
