DISCONTENT WITH LOTTERY,

THREATS TO FRENCH LEGATION IN BANGKOK.

Bangkok, July 27. The method of drawing the Indo- China lottery for the relief of flood sufferers seems to have dis- gruntled some people in Siam, where a large number of tickets were sold.

During the past few days scurrilous threatening postcards have been received at the French Legation. One threatened to bomb the Legation..

The matter has been placed in the hands of the police.
