"SOMETHING WRONG."
Troubles and Remedies.
[By Israel Klein.]
Sometimes thero is a peculiar "feel" behind the steering wheel that seems to warn the driver of something gone wrong.
The motor may be humming along in tip-top shape, Yet there it is, a sort of drag on the whole car, a feeling that the engine is pulling harder than usual.
The steering, too, seems more dif- ficult, and the wheel must be grip-| pod tight to keep the car from

The front wheels have to satisfy three, important requirements in order to make driving easy and rid- ing comfortable.
First, they have to have a de finite pitch, or an inward slope, so that the bottoms are from one to three inches closer together than the tops.
Secondly, they must "toe la," or' alant awards horizontally us well! as vertically, so that their forward edges are closer together than the
rear.
Lastly, the axle has to have a definite tilt, or castor, which pre- vents shimmying, or wandering of the wheels.

A hold-up in supplies may occur from a cause which, at first alght, would seem to have no connexion whatever with the production of motor cars. A sudden run on ship construction will bring a reduction in the supply of the steck platos which are required for the chassis frames.
In addition to preventing back pressure, the "Eros" is claimed to give an improved petrol con- sumption, keep the engine cooler, eliminate carbon, and overcome the trouble of oily plugs.
