This brief description of the trials through which the early Church passed in Apostolic days has just been repeated in cruel vividness during the past few "days in an inland City where several of our missionaries are located, says a N. C. D. News correspondent.

On March 12 the students in Kueilin, a large educational centre, met to commemorate the anniver- sary, of the death of Dr. Sun Yat- zen. About one thousand students paraded the city carrylag banners and streamers on which were writ- ten Bolshevistic slogans of a re-i volutionary nature. After parad- ing the city the crowd marched into the Baptist Mission Compound. Here the parading students cried out, "Down with Imperialism destroy the Christian Church." The Christian girls were called by name, saying that they were the dogs of the foreigners and some were even pelted with stones. That missionaries were cursed to their: faces, but remembering "when He ||was reviled He reviled not again,”
they patiently bore the insult.

As he was hustled along the streets his tormentors called cut to the people en route, "Come see the way we treat the Christians, and the way ere long we will deal with the others."
