To-day you curse the motorist who nearly runs you down. You' argue that authorities should chase him out of town. He always has you worried, as you'ré dodging in and out. You feel that he's a nuisance to the universe, no doubt.
"There never was a man," you'll say, "who drove with common sense. They always tear around all day, at walking folks' expense." You stand upon the curbstone, and you wait an hour or so, because the bloomin' motorist won't stop, and let you go.
To-morrow, though, the scene is changed. You're not upon the walk. You're making lots of other people stop and toe the chalk. The lowly, poor pedestrian has lost you from his rank. You soon forget that you yourself were once his type or crank,
You feel the crave for speeding, and you step upon the gas. Some people wish to cross the street-and do you let them pass?
"The question is ridiculous. Why, shucks, look who you are. You
used to be a walker. Now you drive a motor car,

NEW SUNBEAM MODEL.
BIGHT-CYLINDER CĦASBIS.
Considerable Interest has been kroused by the announcement of
30/90 h.p. "straight-eight", model by the Sunbeam Motor Car Co., Ltd. The first of these cars was exhibited at the Olympia Motor Show. There has been a demand for some time past for a Sunbeam chassis eapable of carry- ing larger coachwork than the 20/60 h.p. model, and the new |30/90 h.p., which will be made in two wheelbase lengths, will now enable this demand to be met. The longer wheelbase, 12 ft. 3 in., will accommodate large bodies of the enclosed limousine and lan- daulette types. The aborter wheelbase, 11 ft. 53% in.. will be used for open touring and Wey- mann saloon models.
It should be clearly understood that the introduction of this 30/90 h.p. will in no way compete with the present 20/60 h.p. 6-cylinder -inodet which has achieved such a splendid reputa tion during the past few years. The production of the 20/60. h.p..

WIND RESISTANCE.
An automobile travelling at 10 miles an hour develops a wind re-i sistance of only five pounds per square inch, while at 40 miles an hour the total "resistance of the wind amounts to 110 pounde per square inch.
This fact was discovered by the enginering experiment station of the Kansas State Agricultural Col- Inge.
The experiments were carried on in an improvised wind tunnel 50 feet long, 12 feet wide and 10 feet high, A motor driven fan was placed in a position, to offer a maximum wind velocity of 80 milen an hour.
An automobile was driven into the tunnel and fitted on a swinging platform to which were attached: spring balances for measuring the 1 resistance of the car'a area against the wind pressure.

The garage men soak me right and left.. At taking my money they become so deft, That at times. I wonder just what to do, Just sell for junk, or spend more on you.
Last night I read in a big Magazine, Of an oil supposed to cure any machine, So I'm going down to a filling station. And fill you up on a brand new ration.
Any if after I go and do all this, You continue to rattle and sputter and misa, I'll take you out where the water is deep, And run you in for your last long sleep.
Could all this trouble my fault have been,, Because I used cheap oil in my hunk of tin, From now on out, you can take it from me, I'll use nothing else but Mobilóil. E
