Kowloon Division's Success. By kind permission of the Com- mittee of the Victorin Recreation Club, the St. John's. Ambulance Brigade held its annual aquatic Thore sports yesterday morning. was a large number of friends present and the various races were contested with great enthusiasism.

ROWING.
A TRIAL EVENT.
In connection with the forth- coming Opening Cruise at the Yacht Club, some trial rowing races took place on Saturday afternoon subsequent to the sail- ing races. Although the wind had died down considerably by the time the fours went out, the going was bad enough and the crews got a pretty good soaking.
The same-two crews rowed two races of half a mile, with the ex- ception that strokes were charged after the first event. In the first bout the crew originally was Groves (bow), Andrews, Rasmus- sen, Jack (str.), Lenfesty (con), and in the second boat Easter- brook (bow) Smith, Joneз, Dreyer (str.) and Logan (cox).
In the first race Jack varied the
