The opening of the Exhibition was saluted by twenty one, guns, and aeroplanes circling above, while simultaneously the Duke of York sent a telegram to the Prince of Wales announcing the event. Rain ceased just before the King and Queen left the dais at 12.30 p.m.-Renter.
FRENCH FINANCIAL SITUATION.

M. Caillaux, made a two hours' statement on the financial situation to the Cabinet, which approved his proposals. Those will not be published until May 12, when they will be submitted to the Chamber Finance Committee. M.
