KONGMOON.
She then Currexposulent)
Kongmong, Jan. 19th. Kongmoon is electrified to hear of Dr. Sun Yat-sen's order, which has descended like a bolt from the blue, removing Admira! Chan Chak. Commissioner of Coust Defence, from his position.
The same omer appoints as his sug cessor Mr. Fung Shiv-ming, who resigned from his post as Chief of Staff to Admiral Chan oaly a few months ago. What an ironic juxtaposition of things! Public sympathy is on the side of the Amiral, who has become quite a popular personage here. I generally felt that Dr. Sun' moust have lost his sense of proportion to have let down one of his ables: and staunchest supporters in this way.
Strange to say, the Admiral appears to be the man least con- cerned about his own fate. He acquits himself as if nothing had occurred. Since he returned from Canton on the 15th. inst.. he bas hot forgotten his daily game of volleyball, which, he says. he likes better than a game of Mah Jonge. He has lost none of his good spirit.

Berlin, January 20. What is regarded as a most significant statement on German relations with Britain was made by Herr Hoefla, Minister of Oc cupied Regions, whilst addressing a meeting of the Centre Party. He declared that Germany must try to reach an understanding with France, with a view to establishing a medus cirendi. Germany should be careful not to place too large hopes on Great Britain and her Labour Government.
