In the Japanese flag shown above, the dark circle, which re- presents the sun, has been my- steriously shifted from its correct position in the centre of the flag [dotted circle) to its present. Frack position. The strange behaviour of the flag was probably caused either by the earthquakes in Japan or by the recent total eclipse of the sun, but how it happened has nothing to do with the puzzle. The problem is how to put the circle back where it belongs. It can be accomplished by cutting the flag into two pieces. and refitting them together. Can you do it?
