BIRDS KILLED IN ROUND OF GOLF.
Larks Hit by Player and Partner.
Two birds were killed in a single round of golf by players on the Thorpe Hail courso, Essex, during a recent weekend.
Driving long shot from the tenth tee, W. L. Wase saw bie ball hit a titlack as it rose some 150 yards from the fee. The bird
was cleanly cut in two.
Ten
minutes later, Wass's partner, A. F. Hart, playing his
Becond shot-down the twelfth fairway, struck a singing lark in
night. This ball killed the bird
outright, without any appreciable mutilation.
These birds are to be stuffed! and set up in the club lounge- already the home of a partridgoj and a greenfach killed by golf balle,
