KENYA RESERVATION QUESTION,
Indians Want Unrestricted Rights.
(Reuter's Service.)
登拜邊
London, April 29. The centre of interest in the Kenya question, in which the British settlers are bitterly opposing the demand by Indians for un. restricted admission and conferment of equal rights of citizenship has shifted to London. The Governor, Sir Robert Corvadon, also white and Indian deputations, headed by Earl Delamere and Mr. Sastri respectively, have arrived for a conference with the Colonial Office in au dffort to reach an agreement. Mr. Sastri, interviewed by Reater, said it was unthinkable that the Indian intelligentsia should ever consent to emigation restrictions for the Crown Colonies as for the Dominions. He insisted that the proposed franchise conditions, would only permit of the qualification of educated Indians, insufficient in numbers to outnumber the British. He prot sted, against the measures whereby the highlands of Kanys were exclusively allocat ed to white settlers, which is among the principal bones of conten zice.
