Probable Treaty to Confirm Century-old Agreement.
Washington, July 13. The Canadian Prime Minister, Mr. King, and the Minister of Defence, Mr. Graham, called upon Mr. Hughes at the State Depart ment in connection with Canadian proposals permanently to revise the century-old Rush-Bagot agreement respecting Canadian and American military defences in accordance with the decisions of the Washington Conference.
The agreement is subject to cancellation at six months' notice, and therefore lacks the element of permanency. It is probable that anew treaty will be negotiated.
