A motion by the chairman of the meeting. Mr. Men Yu-sheng. to increase the capital of the Bank by issuing new shares then Ол came up for consideration. this motion the shareholders voted to issue new shares to the value of $2,500,000, thereby increasing the paid up capital of the Bank to $10,000,000,
Shares previously issued in Taels will be cocverted into dollar shares, and thus the holders of shares already issued, amounting fo Taels 5,000,000, will receive new shares to a total face value of $1,500,000.
It was further decided to accept deposit receipts of the Back in payment of new abares and that the Board of Directors of the Bank shall fix the date for the issue of these new shares and the time when the issue shall be regarded as closed. ---
It was, finally, agreed that new shares should be issued for sale to. private individuals to replace the shares, emount unstated, which have been relinquished by the Ministry of Communication.
It is anderstood that Liang retains bis, office as Shib-yi Chairman of the Board of Direc- tore of the Bank and this is regarded as victory for Liang and his adberents, as there was a strong myment among the shareholders to get Liang out of the Bank altogether.
