tion of an Irish Free State will
mean the repaying of the savings which he gave to hus Irish Re- publican bonds. Many an old Irish widow, as she counts bar pennies, and many Irish working women, as they bend over the washtub, or toil in the factory, are wondering the same thing, writes & Press correspondent.
Less than $10,000,000, not large sum for a Government, is asid to be the total amount of all the existing bonds issued by or ganizations which asked support fos movements to free Ireland. Inɓoitely smaller were the frac- tions of which this sum made. Fet to those who gave these tractions were enormous→→ often the total of all they possess- od: It was from the poor and Jumble that the bulk of the con- tributions came, Irish-American working people bought the bulk of the bonda.
