Object.-The Company has been formed to purchase as a going concern the business koown as the Bumphreys Hide and Leather Works, carried on by the Er of W. G. Homphreys and Company of No. 5. Duddell Street, Hongkong.
Business-The business comprises the manufacture of all kinds of Leather and the dealing in of hides and skina, and of all descriptions of goods and merchandise incidental to the business of such nature, and is carried os uppo ostensive, well-ballt, commodious, and modern promisea sitosted at la Tau Kok. Kowloan, en Kowloon Inland Lois Ros. 1267 and 840, which contain Premises at an area of 110,942 square feet, bald under a Crown Lesse for 75 years with an Ma Tau Kok optica of a further 75 years from the 19th day of December, 1911, subject to a Crown rent of $306.00 per annum. These premises are within the Offensive Trade Ares as defined by the Sanitary Authority and a licence has been granted by the Government to carry on the business of a Tannery in all respects thereca.

Machinery and Motive Power.-The Tannery is equipped with the most up to date Bide and Leather working machinery. The motive power is supplied by a 100 B. H. P. Water Supply.-There is an independent supply of water from a specially constructed Well on the premises which is ample and suitable for the business,

The expansion of the business will therefore provide employment to a large number. of Chinese labourers whose increased efficiency and development is in itael! sufficient to commend this undertaking to all those who have the interests of Chinese and British trade at heart.
