The Russian Light Opera and Operetta Company, which was announced to commence a short season in Hongkong last Satur day and again to-night, has unfortunately, owing to cireum- stances over which it has no con- trol, bean obliged again to post- pone the opening night The members of the Company due to arrive from Shanghai on the s. 5. Monteagle which arrived in Hongkong yesterday but only half of them, with their baggage, arrived.

It appears that the other mem- |bers were detained in Shanghai at the instance of the Russian Consul there for the purpose of giving several performances to a large number of Russian refugees who recently arrived in that port. from Vladivostock.

It is hoped to receive a cable from Shanghai to-day giving particulars of the arrangements made for sailing and when this is to hand the opening night will be announced.

THE RAKUYO MARU.

T.K.K's. New Liner. The T.K.K's new liner, the Rakuyo Man, was open to the public in Hongkong Harbour! yesterday.
