The Prince of Wales on Thursday proceeded through wildly enthusiastic crowds to Parliament House where he was welcomed by a distinguished gathering beaded by the Governor-General and Premiet. The Prince, responding to an eloquent welcome by Mr. Massey, glowingly referred to the services of the New Zealanders in the war. He added that. industrial unrest was natural but would only result in good if they adhered to British traditions of steadiness, fairness and commonsense.
