Letter stamping machines and envelope addressera are no longer novelties, nor are typewriters, though new ideas in connection with the latter are being constant- ly introduced. In many modern' offices, too, a mechine is used which enables a man in one room to dictate his letters to his typist at a distance, the latter transcrib ing them directly on her type- writer without any intermediary shorthand.
