ITALY'S CLABM REGARDING FILME.
SIGNOR ORLANDO'S THREAT.

Paris, April Bignor Orlando has threatened to leave Para-to-day- unless the claims are met. Mr. Lloyd Gourgs is trying to induce him to postpone he departure.
London, April 20
The Press Bureau gives a communique from Paria dated, "April 4 which staten: Before the departure for Rome of Signor Orlando necompanied by Baron Sonniso" they had another meeting with President Wilson, Afr., Lloyd George and M. Clemenceau. Throughout the discussion all displayed the strongest desire to reach a satisfactory solution of the problemlunder consideration. The heads of the American, British and French Governments expressed to Signor Orlando the hope that the Italian Parliament would also Assist in arriving at such a settlement The meeting occurred at Mr. Lloyd George's residence. Subsequently it was an nounced that Signor Orlando was starting for Rome to-night to consult the Italian Parliament
THE ITALIAN FRONTIER.

The "Temps" says the new frontier between Italy, Austria and Germany appears to have been definitely settled in accordance with Italy's demands along the line north of Brenner Pass
Mr. No decision has been reached regarding Fiume. Lloyd George conferred with Signor Orlando this morning. It is understood that he is endeavouring to find a via media between the views of the Italians and Americans.

A Berlin message says the German note accepting the Allies conditions says the German Government assumes the presentation of the draft of the preliminaries" will be followed by negotiations on the contents of the draft and aaks for an assurance that the German delegates at Ver- aailles will have freedom of movement and free use of the telegraph and telephone for communication with the German Government. It adds that the departure of the delegates will anyhow be delayed some days.

It is stated in Paris that the German acceptance of the Allies conditions regarding the German delegates Versailles is due to energetic action of the Entente Govern- ments who instructed General Yodant to inform the German Government that it must reply without delar definitely in order to obriate all possible fature misunderstanding. It was thus a question of a veritable ultimatumn. The "Erho de Paris" declares the disequion of the preliminary pears terms must not be prolonged beyouri May 15 and says the Allies will demand that the German delegates sign the trem subject to ratification by the German Parliament. The Allies will not agree to the terms being submitted to a plebiscite.
