The London correspondent of the "Daily Dispatch" writes:-I hear that Sir Albert Stanley, President of the Board of Trade, has decided to abanden the idea of establishing a Ministry of Commerce. He has civen the proposal most careful consider- ation, and has come to the conclusion that it would be a great mistake to create a new. department, which would only lead to the overlapping and duplication of work and cause confusion. Sir Albert, I gather, considers that it will be better to leave matters in the hands of the reorganised Board of Trade" which is now divided ‚inta, two Frest departments-one, dealing with commerce and industry an the other with public service administration. He believes that greater efficiency will be gained by a few departments divided into sub-departments rather than that there should be an abundance of
