At a recent meeting of the Institution of Petroleum 'Tech- nologists at the Royal Society of Arts, Professor J. S. S. Brams read a paper on " Liquid Fuel and its Combustion." He spoke of the coming development of the use of oil fuel, sad of its advantages over coal, but added that no member of the instituti n wes likely to make the mistake of some ardent enthusiasts in regarding oil fa 1 as a gel nf universal application in place of coal. He discussed the calorific value of petro.eum fuel oils, various methods of combustion and the advantages of some of and more the better lawn successful atom zera.
