German Ships in America, Wsehington, April 26.—It officially announced that many of the German ships seized in American barbours will be ready for service in less than ten daya. The Government Shipping Board is soon to seek legislation authorising it to control all ship- ping and to direct and operate it wherever it may be most needed.
Bombay and Aviation. Lord Montaga gave à lecture on aviation in Bombay and sug gested that some patriotio oltiusoS of Bombay should present a flight of seaplanes for the Defence of Bombay and the Western Coast. The suggestion has already borne frait. Sir. Dorab Tats hae ex- pressed his desirs to provide for * the expense of a fight of seaplanes to be located in Bombay as ite hadquarters.

A Professor on Censors. Professor Pollard, in a lecture at the Cniversity College men- tioned that in bis address two weeks ago he advanced certain forecaste, which were blue pencilled" by the Censor. The statements, however, had since been justified by facts. He bap pened to know several of the censors, and they were really quite intelligent people outside the Censor's office.
